Meri masroofiat ne mujhe tanha rakkha,
Teri chaahat ne mujhe apna rakkha.
Kehnaa chaahoon jo tujhe main shiddat se apna,
Teri ruswaaiyon ne mujhe tujh se alag hee rakkha.
Kaash ke aa jaata tu ke jaise jhoom ke baadal garje,
Behtee hawaaon ne barsaat ko zameen se bohot door rakkha.
Hum naa the kabhi tujhse naaraaz mere humnafas,
Zamaane kee deewaaron ne tujhe-mujhe daayron mein chupaa kar rakkha.

How can I believe that when I know

Koi baandhe naa mujhko kisi daage kisi rishtey se
Main kaun hoon iss baat kaa ehsaas hone de mujhe

Apnee hadoon ke paar jaane de mujhe mere hum safar
Daayroon ke beech aaj na sameto mujhe

Mujhko apni dhadkanon ka sangeet aaj sunne do
Pankh phailaa kar aaj ud jaane do mujhe

Sahaaraa na de koi gar aaj gir jaaoon kaheen
Apne pairon apni himmat ko aaj parakhne do mujhe

Thokar lagee to sambhaloonga kaise mujhko dekhne do jara
Dard mein bhee chand aansoon aakhon se bahane do mujhe

Main bhee to jaanoon ki mera junoon kahan le ke jaayega
Apnee hee saansein mujh ko khud par kharch karne do mujhe

My Private Heaven

For all the places I have been
I love the ones which make me lean

A place where I find myself lying on the ground
Watching the skys where I am bound

A place where I am able to touch those beyond my reach
A place where I can fly with my own feet

A place where I find peace and calm
A place where it is green beneath my palm

A place where I can feel secure
A place called heaven that is my private for sure.

Chand saansein lene kee jaan abhi baaqui hai,
Baat abhi baaqui hai raat abhi baaqui hai.

Kuch kehna chaahoon tumse aye mere dost magar,
Pyaalaa hai abhi haathon mein aur jaam abhi baaqui hai.

Lafz mere zubaan se aage naheen badhte,
Thodi see aur pila saaqi ke pyaas abhi baaqui hai.

Ashq meri palkon ke sirahne lete rahe,
Inke sookhne mein waqt abhi baaqi hai.

Tera intezaar kiya maine aakhree saanson taq,
Tera iqraar tera inquaar abhi baaqui hai.

Main kehtaa hoon ki pyaar dhokha hai ..
Lekin is dil ka kya karoon .. hai to akhir dil hee ..

Kabhie kehta hoon ki maan jaa meri baat aur sudhar jaa ..
Par is dil ka kya karoon .. dil to baccha hai jee ..

Maine dekha usko jaate hue apni zindagee se ..
Phir socha tu naheen koi aur sahee ..
Koi aur naheen koi aur sahee ..
Aakhir .. dil to baccha hai jee ..

Main tadapta raha teri yaadon mein shaam ko ..
Ki bus aaj to jaagran hoga ..
Lekin .. Phir raat hui aur need aa gayee ..
Hai naa ... dil to baccha hai jee ..
